This course provides a basic understanding of clinical laboratory diagnostic tests and pharmacology. The basic understanding of laboratory and diagnostic tests is defined as recognizing the divisions of the clinical laboratory, the test's routine purpose, and interpretation of reference ranges. The basic understanding of pharmacology is defined as recognizing the forms and categories for common brand and generic drug names as well as routes of administration and documentation requirements. Prerequisite: MEDS1620.
