This course assists students in developing the reading and learning skills needed to meet the academic demands of college. In addition to comprehension techniques, students review vocabulary strategies for deciphering words in context. Topics include improving textbook comprehension, developing vocabulary, increasing reading flexibility, mastering study techniques, and being a critical reader. Learners must pass this course with a minimum grade of "C" to advance tocollege level courses.
