This course meets Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) goal areas 1 and 6. This course deals with the fundamentals of creative writing based on reading or personal experience. The process of writing, English grammar, mechanics, and style are incorporated. The focus of this general education course is on mastering the fundamental features of short stories, poems, and other genres. Students learn to write and think in different ways through reading and writing creative works. Prerequisite: ENGL1410.
