This course is an introduction to the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). This course gives the learner an understanding of the basic framework, what is needed to use SIS, and how SIS interacts with other Caterpillar systems. Students are trained using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET). This software/hardware package is used to communicate, troubleshoot, and adjust Caterpillar electronically controlled diesel power engines, heavy equipment, and related subcomponents found in the Caterpillar product family. Prerequisite: MATH1451.
