Prerequisites: MTC 2000 and ROB 2040 This is an advanced course for the Automation Systems Technology and Control Systems Technology programs. It is the third in a series of courses designed to teach students how to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial systems. The instructional approach is competency-based contextual learning. Course content includes an introduction to the diagnosis and troubleshooting of inter-related manufacturing automation systems; including electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluid power systems, and industrial controls. Students will continue to use the flexible manufacturing system (fms), the electromechanical trainers, and simulation software programs for automation and electrical systems. Course/lab fees
