Prerequisite: SOC 2510 General Education Attributes 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 This course will explain and describe major social problems in contemporary American society and potential programs for the prevention and amelioration of these problems. The course will analyze the following social problems from a general, theoretical point of view: poverty, health, crime and juvenile delinquency, mental disease, personality adjustment, marriage and housing.
