This is a core course for the Automation Systems Technology and Control Systems Technology programs. It will introduce students to the interconnection of technologies within the Industrial Services and Industrial Processes sectors of the American economy. Students will explore foundation concepts and trends to evaluate options offered within the Automation Systems degree and certificate programs. Students will be introduced to the flexible manufacturing system (fms), the electromechanical trainers, and simulation software programs for automation and electrical systems. Course activities will include lectures, research projects, computer simulations, and group activities.
