Prerequisite: Consent of program coordinator This course is composed of two parts, classroom content and field experience. The course is designed to give the student an overview of interpersonal theories used in working with clients and practice in using these theories. The student will become familiar with Behavior Modification, Transactional Analysis, cognitive approaches, Assertiveness Training and addictions theory. In addition, the student will learn about community resources and the referral process. The student will be assigned a field placement in one of the cooperating agencies for a minimum of 90 clock hours. Course/lab fees
