Prerequisites: MTC 1500 This is an advanced course for the Automation Systems Technology and Control Systems Technology programs. It is the second in a series of courses designed to teach students how to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial systems. The instructional approach is competency-based contextual learning. Course content includes an introduction to the diagnosis and troubleshooting of manufacturing automation systems; including electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluid power systems, and industrial controls. Students will continue to use the flexible manufacturing system (fms), the electro-mechanical trainers, and simulation software programs for automation and electrical systems. Course/lab fees
