Prerequisites: BUS 1310 This course builds upon the elements in BUS 1310, Principles of Supervision. The instructional emphasis is on understanding the unique aspects of supervising technical people and functions, as well as building the leadership competencies needed to succeed as a technical supervisor. Course content includes individual leadership style assessments, leadership problem solving for both people issues and work issues, and organizational life in technical operations. A student capstone project will integrate the leadership elements.
