General Education Attributes 4 This course covers the landmarks of vocal music of every period from English Renaissance to the main current trends through lectures, in-class listening of recordings and live performances. The music covered includes all vocal genres: songs, operas and musicals. This course is open to students with no previous music instruction. Students are expected to make brief presentations and/or in-class performances (depending on individual preference or musical background), of music or topics of their choice from the course materials.
