General Education Attributes3, 7, 10 This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic cultural practices utilized in the landscape industry. The course topics include; plant propagation, soils and fertilizers, turf grass culture, tree planting and pruning, pest management and annual and perennial flower maintenance. Students will also study plant form and functions as it relates to identification and care of ornamental plants. Students will explore the impact of landscape management practices on soil erosion, ground water quality, and exotic pest introductions. Course/lab fees
