General Education Attributes 1 This course emphasizes the understanding and use of increasingly advanced grammar structures while reviewing more basic structures. Grammar work focuses on the contextual use of the English language in both written and oral communication. Listening strategies for the purpose of synthesizing information from academic lectures and texts will be introduced and practiced. Students will practice various techniques for note-taking and listen to lectures on various topics. Strategies for understanding and using vocabulary from various academic disciplines are introduced.
