Prerequisite: IPD 1010 This course examines the materials and methods by which products are shaped in the preliminary model and prototype stages of development. The student is introduced to the materials and techniques that the professional modeler normally encounters in the automotive and product industry. Projects are assigned to enable the student to acquire firsthand experience in concept model making through the use of various materials such as clay, wood, styrofoam, plaster, paper, cardboard and plastic.
