The student will identify and describe the organizational structure of a front office and how it relates to the overall objectives of the hotel/ motel operation. The student will define three principles of management, routine procedures and accounting techniques, including the principles involved in guest room salesmanship, receiving guests, proper procedures in handling mail and information, emergencies, sales and registration procedures, appropriate rooming facilities and the correct way to check out guests at the end of their stay.
