Prerequisites: Appropriate placement test scores (Enrollment is limited to students whose first language is not English.) General Education Attributes1 This course is for ESL students who wish to improve their pronunciation and recognition of North American English vowel and consonant sounds. Students will also learn the linking and blending of sounds in speech, relationship of sounds and letters, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and monitoring of their own speech and that of others.
