Students should be familiar with the basics of both word processing and Microsoft Windows file management techniques before enrolling in this course. This course focuses on management strategies and analysis of information technology (IT) projects. Project management issues and techniques specific to technology projects will be emphasized. Students will learn how to create plans and implement IT projects that are within budget, on time, and deliver useful results. Technology and project management standards, design tools (e.g., UML), product evaluation criteria, infrastructure integration, and communication of technical implementation details will be covered in group discussion and project work. Students will be required to complete technology-based assignments inside/outside of class. Course/lab fees
