Students should have a basic knowledge of Internet technologies before enrolling in this course. Introduction is provided to a broad range of theories, practices, standards, and procedures related to the strategic implementation of ecommerce systems aimed at supporting one or more organizational business initiatives. A series of topics will be presented and cases analyzed that teach the student material ranging from: e-commerce business models, e-commerce technologies, supporting standards, to ecommerce analysis and design methodologies.
