This course is designed for those students who require the problem-solving skills for entrylevel to CHE 1000. Completion of MAT 1040 or equivalent is recommended. The course will emphasize the basic problem solving techniques and measurement systems needed to do fundamental chemical computations. Basic chemistry concepts such as the atomic theory, chemical bonding, formula writing and balancing of equations will be included. This course does not substitute for CHE 1000 and it is not a laboratory course.
