Interviewing and Recording Skills focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for generalist social workers to conduct and record interviews effectively and appropriately. Students study interview and recording techniques and learn to apply the techniques and skills to social work practices using role-play and video-taped scenarios. Emphasis is also placed on systems theory and its application to the selection of appropriate techniques for various populations and levels of practice.
