Introduction to Geography Information Systems (GIS) is a study the basics of using computerized map information in science, education, social sciences, and business applications. Students will learn to organize their own projects using mapping software, spatial data, GPS technology, and other emerging technologies. (Because of the technical nature of the course, students must demonstrate adequate computer skills before enrolling. Equivalent to CJCR 2010 and CSCI 2010.)
