Prerequisite: Completion of preceding VT courses (as listed in the degree curriculum) with a grade of "C" or better or approval of Program Director. An introductory course providing identification and function of nutrients, understanding pet food labels, and applications for wellness, life stage, and therapeutic nutrition (prescription foods) for dogs and cats. Two lecture hours a week. Credit: Two semester hours.
