Prerequisite: MTH 1513 or equivalent. This is a sophomore level course for the non-science major. The purpose of this course is to provide mathematical knowledge and ability to develop and analyze mathematical models using the calculus. Topics covered in this course include a brief review of algebra and functions, differentiation and applications of the derivative, exponential and logarithmic functions and models, and integration and applications of the integral, and multivariable functions. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three semester hours.
