Prerequisite: CIS 1113 and CS 1313. This is a computer programming course using the business-oriented computer language COBOL (Common Business-Oriented Language). Topics included are input/output, branching, loops, arrays, file maintenance, sorting, modularization and structured programming techniques. Students are required to complete out-of-class programming assignments on a computer. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three semester hours.
