Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. This course provides an introduction to the Occupational Therapy Framework that provides the basis for treatment planning and treatment interventions. The fundamentals of occupational therapy practice will be presented. Frames of reference will be introduced and the Developmental Model and Occupational Functioning Model will be presented and applied. Human development as it relates to occupation across the life span will be studied. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three semester hours.
