Prerequisite: None. This course is designed to provide the student an understanding of the developmental processes and environmental factors that affect physical growth and emotional and social development from conception to three years of age. It includes skills for individual care of infants or toddlers such as daily schedules, record keeping, food preparation, age appropriate discipline techniques and activities. Two lecture and two laboratory hours a week. Credit: Three semester hours.
