Prerequisite: One-year inorganic chemistry. The survey course deals with the fundamentals of soil origin, development, classification, fertility, and management. Laboratory is devoted to analytical procedures relevant to the chemical and physical conditions of soil. Three lecture and two laboratory hours a week. Credit: Four semester hours.
