Study Abroad This elective course is designed to increase student knowledge of Costa Rica through first-hand experience working with local people on community-based, service learning projects. In addition to the projects, the course also involves a survival Spanish class. These classes are meant to enhance the overall experience of the trip by giving students the basic tools to communicate in Spanish, as well as understand the forces that drive the Costa Rican economy.
