2 Credits This course is designed to provide students with practical experience in their chosen occupational field by working as an intern at a local business or industry. Employment seeking skills such as writing cover letters, filling out applications, job interviewing, and resume construction will also be included. A daily journal will be used to keep track of the internship and a final report that covers the student's overall experience in the experiential education environment is required. Pre/Co-requisite: Successful completion of all semester 1, 2, and 3 courses with at least a 2.0 GPA in the program you are enrolled in or special permission from the instructor. Students who can prove they have two years or more of work experience in the field they are studying can get life experience credit and may not need to take this course.
