3 Credits This course covers the basic theory of operation for a variety of AC and DC rotating machines, including DC motors and generators, AC three phase motors and generators and AC single phase motors. Operation principles and installation techniques of single phase and three phase transformers will also be covered. Reference to the appropriate articles of the National Electrical Code as they relate to AC/DC machines will be an ongoing part of this course. Pre/Co-requisite: ETL113, ETL114.
