3 Credits This course provides students with additional opportunities to practice speaking and listening in real-world situations. Besides role play, students will also listen to lectures and view films in German. Selected readings in literature and history will provide reading practice as well as the basis for discussion of German culture and traditions. Students will write short reaction papers to these presentations to practice their writing skills. This course likewise will be taught using the immersion technique. Prerequisite: GER102 or two years of high school German or permission of the instructor.
