3 Credits This course introduces the basic principles and techniques for propagating plants by both sexual and asexual means, including seeds, cuttings, bulbs, budding, and tissue culture. The hormonal and physiological factors affecting rooting, seed dormancy, grafting, budding, and layering are emphasized. Course involves extensive lab work with regional field trips. Prerequisite: BIO102 or permission of instructor.
