3 Credits This course is intended for students who have good basic skills with arithmetic and little or no previous experience with algebra. The purpose of this course is to develop the algebra skills necessary for success in higher level mathematics courses. Topics will include order of operations, evaluating and simplifying variable expressions, first degree equations and inequalities, word problem applications, integer exponents, polynomials, and factoring. This course will not count toward the fulfillment of an associate degree's requirements.
