3 Credits (3-0-0) This course covers the elementary engineering aspects of the design, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Topics include aeration, coagulation and flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, chlorination, corrosion and mineral control, maintenance programs, environmental regulations and plant records. Upon course completion, students should be able to perform the basic functions of operating a wastewater treatment plant. Prerequisite: WMT 100.
