6 Credits (3-0-12) This course builds upon previous instruction and provides additional opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in cardiovascular, hematologic, immune, and genitourinary systems in a variety of settings. Additional instruction is provided for psychiatric disorders, and high-risk obstetrics. Teaching/learning concepts, advanced dosage calculations, nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated. Prerequisite: NUR 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 201, and appropriate grades.
