Presents a basic need and family-centered approach to health care. The Nursing Process provides the framework for assisting the individual with increasingly complex health problems and integrates the major concepts of role, therapeutic communication, nutrition, pharmacology and teaching/learning throughout the course. Selected learning experiences occur in structured health care settings and correlate with classroom content. (5 lec, 12 lab) Prerequisites: NUR 134, NUR 146, NUR 202;- Pre- or Corequisite: BIO 216
