Discusses the radiographer's role in caring for the needs of the ill or injured patient undergoing radiographic examination. Acquaints the student with the principles of medical ethics and the responsibilities of the allied health professional. Introduces body mechanics, medical aseptic technique, first aid, observation of vital signs, management of medical emergencies in the radiology department, and basic care of special and surgical patients.
