Provides students with a comprehensive course in the pathophysiology, kinematics, and management of the trauma patient. Topics include multisystems trauma, spinal injury, head injury, orthopedic injury, and burns. Upon completion of the lab portion of the class, students receive certification in Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS). (30 lec hours, 30 lab hours) Pre-requisites: EMS 201, EMS 202, EMS 205, EMS 206, currently licensed EMT-Intermediate, successful completion of all NEEMS required preadmission testing, and advisor approval
