Studies stages of development from prenatal periods through adolescence. Theories of child development and the learning process will be introduced. The effects of environment and the adult's role in supporting development and learning will be explored. Physical, cognitive, and social/emotional domains of development will be emphasized. (15-week course; 3 lec. 0 lab) ECE and PED students must achieve a grade of C or better to pass the course.
