1 credit hours Introduces the beginning dancer to popular dances through a social dance sampler in Salsa, Swing, and Country Western Dance technique, footwork, body posturing, rhythms, and dance floor etiquette. Examines a variety of dances such as Salsa's Mambo, Cha-Cha, and Rumba; Swing's Lindy Hop (jitterbug); and Country Western's Two Step, Cowboy Waltz, Cotton-Eyed Joe and various Country Western line dances.
