The first course in a two-semester sequence of intermediate algebra and trigonometry with technical applications. Topics include the operations of real numbers, expressions and functions, first-degree equations, properties of lines, the fundamental concepts and operations of algebra, scientific notation, metric system, variation, functions, graphing, straight line, fundamentals of geometry, trigonometric functions, right triangles, factoring, algebraic fractions, systems of linear equations, inequalities and quadratic equations.
