Includes an overview of inferential and descriptive statistics, computing the types of statistics that are most frequently utilized in crime analysis, and using software tools to conduct statistical analysis. Prerequisites: Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills by passing the basic Microsoft Word word processing and basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheets sections within the Crime and Intelligence Analysis Course Prerequisite Assessment test, or permission of instructor.
