Offers the student the opportunity to develop attitudes in welding safety and skills in gas tungsten arc welding fundamental, recognition of arc characteristics and to make quality welds in all positions on 16 and 11 gauge mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum plate. This course reviews the characteristics of mild steel, stainless and aluminum plate and includes an introduction to aluminum pipe welding. 4- week course (80 hr) Prerequisite: WEL 263
