Introduces, non-mathematically, the basic principles of chemistry, with an emphasis on relevance to everyday life. Topics will include alternative energy sources such as nuclear chemistry, air and water pollution, consumer products, plastics, and synthetic fibers. Laboratory correlates with lecture material.
