Prerequisite: AST 101 A laboratory corequisite (AST 241) may be required. Corequisite AST 102 or equivalent. Develops proficiency in the use of transcribing equipment to produce business documents. Emphasizes listening techniques, business English, and proper formatting. Includes production rate and mailable copy requirements. Lecture 3-4 hours per week.
