ELET 1110 - Elec Circuits I & Lab

Institution:
Southwest Tennessee Community College
Subject:
Description:
Electric Circuits I introduces the student to the fundamental principles of DC circuits. Emphasis is placed on the solution of circuit problems using series and parallel circuit definitions, Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, and equivalent circuits. Inductance and capacitance are introduced as time constants in transient circuits. The course concludes with network analysis techniques including loop equations, Thevenin's theorem, and superposition. Prerequisite: ENTC 1114 and ENTC 1124, or permission of program coordinator. 3.000 Credit Hours 2.000 Lecture hours 3.000 Lab hours Levels: Undergraduate Schedule Types: Combined Lecture/Lab Business, Career Stud, Technol College Engineering Technology Department
