This course is a study of medical nutrition principles, with focus on the human body, various medical and surgical problems, and the dietary modifications necessary for unusual and abnormal cases. The student gains practice in writing routine hospital diets, planning and calculating special diet prescriptions, and analyzing the procedures, organization and functions of a hospital or other healthcare facility.
