This course provides an overview of the regulations for air pollution and the control systems used to meet these regulations. The course will be divided into three sections: regulations, capture systems, and control systems. The regulations section will be a high level overview of air pollution regulations and the recent changes that affect industry including MACT standards. The capture systems section will introduce the attendee to the design of capture and collection systems and their effectiveness. The section on control devices will describe the types of control devices in use today for control of criteria pollutants, their efficiency and design parameters.
