This course acquaints the student with the principles, procedures and theory underlying all appraisals, and demonstrates their application to basic residential appraisal problems. In addition to emphasis on detached single-family residential appraisals, the student will also become acquainted with the URAR (FNMA 1004) appraisal form and format. This is the most common form used in U. S. Appraisals. Other topics covered are: tools necessary for field appraisals, relationships with clients, professional appraisal societies, ethics, government and private appraisal techniques and procedures, employment opportunities, relationships with the real estate broker, National Association of Real Estate Boards and other subjects.
