This course is designed to present current issues and regulations concerning indoor air quality and its effect on health. It covers the emerging issues/concerns about indoor air quality, and in particular, the heightened concerns related to contaminants suspected of causing illness. The Mid-South Chapter of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) assisted in developing this training activity to provide a forum for the latest information. A variety of professionals will discuss NIOSH and EPA regulatory aspects, health effects of poor indoor air quality, and new initiatives of these agencies. Consultants will also discuss the identification and quantification of contaminants in building environments and how this information can be used to assess risks and make decisions on the best way to eliminate and control contaminants. 0.400 Continuing Education Units 4.000 Lecture hours Levels: Continuing Education Schedule Types: Lecture Continuing Education College Continuing Education Department Course Attributes: CEU Career Development, Supplemental Course
